Description
The brand identity for the School of Applied Arts and Sustainability at the Hellenic Open University aims to capture the essence of applied arts while inspiring creativity, exploration, and sustainable growth through its innovative design, symbolic elements, and thoughtful color palette.
The logo is a distinctive symbol comprising three arrow shapes which form the initials of the school’s name, seamlessly integrating the essence of the institution into the design. The arrows serve as powerful symbols, representing the diverse pathways and directions inherent in the pursuit of applied arts. They symbolise the spirit of progress and forward movement, illustrating the school’s commitment to innovation, research, and experimentation. Each arrow signifies a unique journey, encouraging students and faculty alike to explore new horizons, challenge conventions, and push the boundaries of artistic expression.
The right angles embedded within the letters of the logo are not only a design element but also a strategic component of the umbrella branding for the institution. These angles serve as the key visual element across the family of brands associated with the school, LATPEE (Laboratory of Technology and Policy of Energy & Environment), ICED (International Conference on Environmental Design), Lights (Lighting for Heritage, Health, Technology & Sustainability) and Lightlab (Laboratory of Lighting Design).
